CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making excellent rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Every day the company strives to help their consumers reach their objectives and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. These models are often powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal choice for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units carry out jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary before utilizing boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to need a lot more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
