A lift truck to be a successful unit must be built powerful to last the working environments for numerous hours of use. It must be able to transport cargo quickly and efficiently as well. The equipment must also be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain needs the power to continually offer great durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with extremely tough shafts and strong gears. The drive, steer axle, transmission and engine are all isolated to decrease both vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These types of machinery offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimal repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that reduce wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers exceptional torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all machinery. It features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts that provide resistance when driving on rough environment. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is available electronic inching which adjusts automatically so as to decrease maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system utilizes a computer-controlled power reversal that increases durability, extends tire life, and minimizes shock loading. Moreover, the auto deceleration feature reduces both break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Made for added strength, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are completely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included a lot of safety features and ergonomic features. These machinery would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
