Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Missouri

Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Missouri

Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.

Pallet trucks should be operated with care in order to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Machine must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.

In order to lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to be able to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.

Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
