Narrow Aisle Forklift
Designed to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage areas which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This kind is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering really simple.
Usually, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This design allows for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered are not noisy and do not make exhaust fumes, making them the preferred choice for closed areas such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor application as it can produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
