Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are better in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specially to raise staff. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
