Operators have an efficient and safe place to work from in the Spirit Delta cab. The specific design of the cab comes as a result of extensive research into the operators working conditions. The most important goal is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, in order to keep the operator functioning as effectively as he or she could.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low thanks to the insulated mounting on the chassis. So that they can maintain an optimal working position, the hydraulic controls and operator seat are all independently adjustable. Additionally, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 easy to operate, multi-functioned ergonomically positioned levers that are offered for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the window washers and horn.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfortable cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, heating and cooling. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The basic instruments which comprise: high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. In addition, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, fuel quantity and operating time.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is among the important options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors that occur and their current values.
